Favorite Service Project
I have participated in many service projects. My absolute favorite is the ongoing B.U.G. program with the Kiwanis Club of Eastern Kingston, Port Royal. I am a tutor in the program and I adore tutoring the children from the Nest Children’s Home. Seeing the smiles on their face and hearing them call me “Uncle Kyle” is gratifying and makes me really happy.
In 3-5 sentences, tell us about yourself.
As Kyle, I am a very driven and ambitious person. I am passionate about the work I do, especially in CKI. I am mostly extroverted and enjoy working with others. I am talented, with talents ranging from singing to acting. I love adventure and challenge and I love finding new ways to approach situations. As a leader, I love to set goals and working towards achieving them. I pride myself on motivating my team members and helping where necessary. My passions include advocacy, volunteerism and the arts.
What are you most looking forward to about your year as governor?
I am looking forward to achieving all my goals and creating new ones along the way. I am also looking forward to meeting and interacting with more people across CKI. I also want to continue building my district and leaving a mark where possible. I am looking forward to building bonds and strengthening bonds already formed.
Favorite CKI Memory
My favorite CKI memory is my first ever District Leadership Fall Conference (DLFC) in 2019. It was my first district event and the level of fellowship that occurred was magical. This was also the event where I made meaningful relationships in CKI. At this DLFC I felt very welcome and it was a good example of what CKI is. It is also one of my favorite memories, because, as co-chair for the 2020 DLFC committee, I appreciate the work that is put into the event and the final product.
